DK7745B is FUHAO brand molybdenum wire edm machine, it uses molybdenum wire for the Electrode wire and the maximum cutting speed is more than 10000 mm2 each hour. As this series machine have economical price and a working life of 10-15 years, so it is widely used for rough cut edm job. This machine uses software Autocut, which is based on autocad 2005. It is easy for any operator.

Fault cause and treatment of broken molybdenum wire

Molybdenum wire breaking are the things every operator don’t want to meet, it will waste your time or even cause the defect of product. it should be taken seriously, the following will be broken molybdenum wire causes and elimination methods:

1. Machining current is too large, feed instability. Molybdenum wire wobble, The operator should Check and confirm the wire running system don’t have large Radial run, edm wire guide wheel, wire drum, bearing etc.

2. The molybdenum wire is also damaged by the discharge of each time and the workpiece, but the degree is very small. It is better to use small energy processing parameter for the new molybdenum, and switch to normal current after the wire color become white. Of course, in the replacement of good molybdenum wire for cutting, it is better let the molybdenum wire run 5 - 10 minutes, so that the original internal stress is released
